Prerelease is a relaxed, celebratory event where players get their hands on the brand-new set a full week before it officially hits shelves.

Upon entry, you’ll receive a Prerelease Kit containing:

• 6 The Hobbit Play Boosters

• 1 Foil Rare or Mythic Rare card

• 1 Spindown life counter

From these cards, plus basic lands provided by the shop, you'll build a 40-card deck and go head-to-head with other players in 3 rounds of casual competition.

🎒 How Does Two-Headed Giant Work?

You and your teammate will:

• Build two separate 40-card decks using the contents of both kits.  Make sure to plan for how to split the spoils in the end!

• Share a 30-point life total. You win together, lose together, and take your turns simultaneously.

• Perfect for All Levels: Because you can talk through your plays and share a card pool, this is the absolute best format for introducing a friend to the game or playing casually with a partner!
